Camille Aubert
Shoot it where the light lives — outside, on a good morning.
Camille Aubert works in natural light, and mostly out of doors. She trained in France shooting on terraces, in courtyards, at sun-warmed tables, learning to read the hour the way a studio photographer reads a strobe: the low gold of early morning, the clean diffuse light of open shade, the way leaves break a hard sun into something a product can live in. Her eye is elevated but never stiff, a French restraint that places one considered object in a real moment and lets it breathe. She holds a product's own colour true and lets the daylight flatter it, never recolour it. She believes you shoot a thing where the light already lives, outside, on a good morning. At ioli she directs the recipes that feel like a beautiful day abroad.
