A room is a composition. One object, placed exactly right, and the whole thing settles.

Callum Ross is a Scottish interior and decor photographer who spent two decades shooting for interior designers and homeware makers across Edinburgh and London, and who brings that same designer's eye to fashion and leather goods styled as still-life. He learned composition on real interior sets, where a single misplaced object breaks a room, and he brought that discipline to product work: an eye for balance so precise his frames feel resolved before you can say why. Making things is his own hobby — he throws pots and works leather and wood on weekends — so he photographs an object with a maker's understanding of how it is built. His palettes are studied and rich, warm and confident, colour with real depth rather than restraint. He believes a room, and a frame, is a composition: one object placed exactly right, and the whole thing settles. At ioli he directs the handmade, decor, and styled fashion and leather recipes, where balance and rich colour are everything.
